The most popular breed on the Polish market is the BUT-6.  With the support of our partner Aviagen Turkeys we constantly invest in the breeding program, to ensure a measurable quality progress every year. A balanced and multi-component selection strategy ensures the development of the BUT-6 breed. The Aviagen Turkeys breeding program strengthens and develops the annual genetic progress of the BUT-6 breed.

The breeding program uses pioneering achievements in the selective breeding technology. Feeding stations are used to measure the individual FCR in the birds. X-rays are used to assess the health of the legs while multi-environmental selection for robustness and immunity are used simultaneously with traditional assessment methods such as weight, slaughter yield, gait and body structure.

The full implementation of DNA, based on genetic selection, additionally increases the pace of the development. THE BUT-6 breed is the most balanced in Europe. It is characterized by constant robustness, and thanks to the high level of genetic investment, is the backbone of the European turkey industry.
